Day 29- ONE DAY LEFT!

Hi Everyone! Today is Day 29, and do you know what that means? One day left! Tomorrow will mark the end of the 30Day Blog Challenge! For today's post how about a story about a girl who finds out her boyfriend is cheating on her with her next-door neighbor.

Annie put up her hair in a bun and wrapped a blue bandana around it. She put on her shoes and grabbed her gloves and headed out the door. Today she was going to work on her gardening. When she walked outside to her no surprise she found Sally already working on her garden right next door. As always Sally was one step ahead of her, and Annie couldn’t stand it. Sally was the most popular girl in school, she always had the most perfect hair, and all the guys loved her because of her short skirts and dresses. Most of the time Annie didn’t want anything to do with Sally and often ignored her at school, but it’s kind of hard to always ignore her, figuring that they live next to each other.

Right as Annie was going to start on her gardening, she saw the mailman passing. This made Annie lighten her mood because she was expecting a picture from her boyfriend who had joined the military. When the mailman got to Annie’s and Sally’s mailboxes that were of course right beside each other, the mailman called out to Sally saying that she got a letter from her boyfriend. Sally over joined rushed to the mailbox and took the letter from the mailman and opened it on the spot. When she saw what was inside she became even happier and squealed while giving the mailman a big hug thanking him a hundred times.

By this time Annie asked the mailman if there was anything for her and the mailman just looked at her as if he couldn’t remember who she was. “Its Annie,” she reminded him.

“Oh yes, right. As a matter of fact, I do have something for you,” he said as he reached into his bag. When he found the envelope he handed it to Annie. A great big smile grew on Annie’s face as soon as she saw the letter. As she opened it Sally got closer to see what it was that could possibly make Annie smile like that. Annie ignored Sally’s approach and concentrated on the letter then took out the picture included.

As soon as Sally saw the picture she got extremely mad. “What are you doing with my boyfriend’s picture?” she exclaimed.

“What do you mean your boyfriend? This is a picture of my boyfriend.” Annie shot back.

“No, it’s not! Look,” said Sally holding up the picture, that she had just gotten in the mail, close to Annie’s face.

Annie took a minute. She looked at Sally’s picture then at hers then back at Sally’s. Shocked, Annie said, “ Why do you have a picture of my boyfriend?”

“What are you talking about, he’s my boyfriend remember?” said Sally, a bit annoyed now. “We’ve been together for 3 months now,” she added.

“Well he’s my boyfriend first, we’ve been together for 5 months.” Said Annie, feeling a bit frustrated.

“Oh sweetie, do you know nothing?” Sally started as she leaned closer to Annie and got right in her face. “Obviously he got tried of you and came to me. Which was the best choice after all because a guy like him could get any girl he wants so why settle for someone like you. Obviously he’s better off with someone like me who can get any guy she wants. We’re so compatible you see.”

Annie didn’t know how to respond to that, she was so frustrated at both Sally and her boyfriend for doing this to her so all she could say was, “Fine! If you guys are so perfect for each other then why don’t you just stay together for the rest of your lives.”

“We plan to,” said Sally.

That was it, Annie couldn’t take any more she took the letter and the picture, ripped it into little tiny pieces and ran into her house.
