There are so many things I want to tell you,

but I bite my tongue.

I'm afraid of conflict, you see.

When we argue and are mad at each other,

I hold the words back.

I clench my teeth tight so not a single sound escapes.

You call it attitude.

I call it prevention.

Because if I open my mouth and let the words come out,

you may not like what you'll hear.

In order to stop our relationship from getting worse,

I just stand there and take it.

I take your yelling, and I take your accusations and ridicules.

And when you are done,

I take everything to heart.

It hurts, you know.

But I'm no good at confrontation.

Its who I am.

You made me this way.

So I'll just deal with the pain all by myself,

because there is no reason for both of us to be unhappy.

The things that I wanted to tell you, you will never hear.

I will forever be mute during our fights,

that's just how much I love you.
