Day 5- My Mind

Hello Everyone, today I'll be taking a break from my short story, The Tears in Your Eyes, that I have been writing for the past 3 days. Today is Day 5 of my 30Day Blog Challenge! To be honest, when I started this challenge I thought that writing a post every day was going to be tough but manageable, it turns out to be MUCH harder than I originally thought. But that doesn't mean I'll be giving up! Here's a poem I wrote about the creative mind/imagination. I hope y'all enjoy it.

My Mind

My mind is like an endless maze

Many things float through my head

Like what if I won a race

Or what would happen if I were dead

My mind is like an endless wind

Blowing through leaves of imagination

Never stopping, undisciplined

My world’s greatest distraction

My mind is like a work of art

A lump of clay I carefully mold

And just like my heart

It will never grow old

My mind is my getaway

A place to call my own, just for me

The one place I wish to stay

My one and only sanctuary
