Day 16- The Tears in Your Eyes part5.2

Hello Everyone, Its Day 16 and I've finally finished the chase scene the followed The Tears in Your Eyes part 5.1! I can't say it came out exactly how I first imagined it but I tried my best to get it as close as possible. I hope you enjoy!

"Hey Chewy?" Dewy asked timidly, "I know we have to get the girl but that guy is really strong, even you couldn't beat him. So, how are we--,"

"Shut up, you stupid monkey!" Chewy lashed out. "I went easy on him ok? But this time it's going to be different, we WILL get the girl. Even if we have to play a little dirty."

"What do you mean dirty, Chewy?"

"Open the glove compartment and you'll see."

Dewy opened the glove compartment and there laid a small black handgun that looked like it had hardly ever been used, amidst a bunch of paper and trash.

"But Chewy, guns can kill people," Dewy said worriedly.

"We're not going to shoot them just scare them with it," Chewy said putting both hands on the wheel and leaning closer. "Now shut up I think we found them." Chewy pulled up next to Steven's company car a black, shiny, almost new, four-door, Mercedes-Benz Maybach. He looked right at Steven's shocked face through the window with a smirk on his face. Lowering his driver's side window, he motioned Steven to do the same, but Steven refused. Pissed, he took the gun out of Dewy's hands and pointed it at Steven, again motioning to him to lower his window.

Steven and Sapphire both stared at the gun in shock and fear. "Put on your seat belt," Steven said to Sapphire.

Just then the light turned green and Steven stepped on the gas and took a sudden left. Sapphire not having enough time to put on her seat belt was flung out of her seat and across the entirety of the back seat.

"HEY!" she yelled, "Are you trying to kill me?" She said trying to get back in her seat.

"I told you to put your seat belt on," he said, "hold on they're still behind us." Steven took a sharp right at the next light, trying to shake the pursuers of their trail.

"They're not stopping, Chewy," said Dewy with his hands tightly wrapped around his seat belt as Chewy tried his best to keep up with Stevens sharp turns.

"I can see that," Chewy said frustrated, "Well, guess we're just gonna have to make them stop." Chewy grabbed the gun, opened his window and pointed at the car in front of them.

"No Chewy, you said the gun was just to scare them," Dewy said worriedly.

"And that's what I'm about to do," he said with a smirk on his face. Chewy took aim and fired, he hit the back windshield of Stevens car.

The impact of the bullet hitting the back windshield of the car startled Sapphire. She screamed and ducked covering her head. Luckily the windshield was bulletproofed, and Chewy did not hit the side in which Sapphire was sitting at.

"Are you ok?" Steven asked equally shocked by the gunshot.

"Yea, I'm ok the bullet didn't go through." She said trying to get her composure back. Looking at the cracked window, and then at the pursuers behind them, she continued,

"They're still after us! can't you go any after?"

"I'm going as fast as I can," he said as he made another sharp turn. with so many unrouted turns Steven was making the GPS go crazy.

"Do you even know where you're going?" Sapphire said, almost accustomed to the sudden turns and learning how to steady herself through them, "This isn't the way to my house."

"Oh, so you want to lead the kidnappers to your house so they can take you later if they don't do it now," he said.

"Don't talk to me like that, I'm your supe---AHHH," another shot at the windshield interrupted Sapphire mid-sentence. Her screams and the sound of the impact made Steven swerve slightly, almost hitting the car on the other side of the road. "So where are we going?"

"Well, if we cant lose them in the city, I guess we're going to have to lose them outside the city. Don't worry I have a plan, just hang on tight." He waited last minute to enter a highway that led out of the city.

"Ok, well hurry cause I don't think this window can withstand a third shot."

Steven floored it trying to get of the city, switching lanes as often as he could and running all the red lights. Luckily there were not too many cars on this road and strangely enough no police officers for that matter. When he was far enough from the heart of the city he took the next turn which he knew had poor lighting and led to a construction site. As soon as he made the turn he turned off all the lights on the car.

Surprised with the sudden darkness Sapphire asked, "What are you doing?"

"Camouflaging, now be quiet and duck your head."

CRASH! Steven had bumped into a metal trash can and knocked it over.

"But how will you see?"

"Shhh... I need to concentrate, we're almost there."

Slowing down Steven pulled into the construction site. He found a spot between two dump trucks and parked the car. "Ok, we don't have much time, take off your seat belt," he said as he climbed his way to the back seat.

"What are you doing shouldn't we be leaving the car?"

"Yeah right, good luck finding a porter potty to hide in, Princess. This place has been abandoned for over a year," he pushed the button to unlock Sapphire's seatbelt. "Now move."

Sapphire got up from her seat. Both now stood hunched over in the back seat of the car.

Steven pulled a lever on the side of the seat and half of the back seat folded over, exposing the trunk of the car. "Get in," he said

"What?"

"Don't ask just get in," he said, lights appeared to be getting closer "Quickly."

Sapphire got in the trunk and Steven followed in after her. The lights were now shining directly at them from behind the car. Steven pulled the seat back up and they waited.
